There is a lot happening in the world, and in our lives. It can be challenging to find healthy ways to express ourselves if we don’t know where to start. Whether you've been writing for years and need inspiration, or you've thought about writing but haven't taken that first step, poetry is one of the most natural ways to get the words flowing.

A collaboration between Uncommon Voices Collective and the leaders of the creatives ministry at NewStory Church, this workshop will briefly touch on the importance of poetry from a Biblical and human standpoint. We won't go too in-depth on the different forms or functions. Rather, this is a chance to practice putting words on the page and using your voice so you are equipped to continue exploring the world of reading and writing poetry.
